Virtual Day Program
The Moeen Centre for the developmentally and physically challenged presents a free virtual day program. The Moeen Centre wants to continually support these youths amidst the ongoing lockdown.
Our day program offers a variety of academic subjects and social activities that are tailored to the needs and abilities of our clients. We strive to provide innovative programming that challenge and aid our clientele, some of these areas of activities involve:
- Math & Science
- Language Arts- reading, writing and speaking skills
- Communication Circle
- Art & Crafts
- Music
- Health and nutrition – cooking abilities
- Computer skills
- Gardening
- Snoezelen therapy
- Money handling
- Physical education – focus on dance and movement
This virtual program will consist of one hour one-on-one sessions that will be scheduled out. All tools will be provided, including a tablet to attend sessions if needed (will be borrowed for the duration of the program).
The virtual day program will take place from January 2021 until June 30, 2021. Spots are a first come, first serve basis as spots are limited. No requirement is necessary to take part in this program.
*please note the Virtual Day Program is not an online tutoring session for students in regular day school.
