Rick Williams, the commissioner of community services for the District of Muskoka, told the community services committee that the regional government is focused on collaborating with Tim Hortons in Muskoka to practice an employment program for individuals with disabilities.

Williams plans on working with several Tim Hortons locations in Muskoka, along with Mark Wafer, a Toronto Tim Horton’s franchise owner who is hearing impaired.

The goal is to connect employers better with employees to make sure all needs are met, while also guaranteeing employment opportunities for people with disabilities.

While Williams claims he is open to working with organizations on inclusive employment, he is currently focused on rolling the Tim Horton’s project.
